PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
These wood threaded inserts add 5/16-18 machine threads to wood, so bolts and machine screws can be fastened, removed and reinstalled. The hex drive turns the insert into place, and the flush flange sits level with the surface of the work.
Each insert is zinc alloy with a plain finish, a 9/16 in diameter and a coarse, right-hand 5/16"-18 internal thread. Drill a 7/16 in hole, with a maximum hole diameter of 0.438 in, in wood at least 1 1/4 in thick. The inserts suit furniture assembly, cabinetry, fixtures and general woodworking.
